The Lingen IT Campus Takes Shape with “Vision Dock”

The Lingen IT Campus Takes Shape with “Vision Dock”

Things are taking shape: The IT Campus Lingen is continuing to take form with the “Vision Dock.”

A project team led by Exeler, a construction and project management firm based in Lingen, will be responsible for building the first complex on the ICL. Covering an area of approximately 8,500 square meters, the complex will feature three buildings housing office space, local retail, dining options, physical therapy, fitness facilities, and a water feature.
The site is located in the northeast of the grounds along the B213. The “Vision Dock” will serve as the campus’s central hub.

“I am very pleased that, after many years of planning and discussions, we can finally move forward with implementation,” said Mayor Dieter Krone. “The ICL will set new standards for the entire region; this is where Lingen is growing toward the future. Artificial intelligence is a major global topic. We are bringing it to the region in a professional setting.” Frank Exeler from the project office of the same name adds: “We are proud to be working with the city of Lingen to create a place that uniquely combines work, life, and innovation.”
The first tenants and buyers of the spaces have already been selected and will be announced in the spring. Interested companies can register their interest in renting or purchasing space.

The project office led by Frank Exeler is comprised of experts in construction management, project development, sales, marketing, and financing. “This allows us to offer the full range of services needed to bring ‘Vision Dock’ at the ICL to life.” In addition to him and project developers Alexandra Michel and Kira Rolfes, the team also includes Till Meyer for space sales, Ulrich de Winder as an expert in financing and contract management, Thomas Schaper for design and marketing, and Andreas Bernaczek from CorneXion. CorneXion will be moving into office space in the new complex.

“We are very pleased to now have a strong partner at our side in the project team, with whom we can jointly realize our vision of the Smart Future Base—a place where innovation, collaboration, and location development come together,” said Ludger Tieke, head of the City of Lingen’s Economic Development Office.

It was only in September that the City Council unanimously approved the zoning plan for the site. “The ICL is an absolute asset for the city and the Laxten district,” agreed the two chairs of the Economic and Land Committee, Martin Koopmann and Stefan Wittler, as well as District Mayor Manfred Schonhoff. “The District Council and City Council are fully behind the project.” Extensive civil engineering work will begin in the spring, so that construction of the first buildings for the first office complex can start in the fall of 2026.

KI Park Lingen: Artificial intelligence only truly makes an impact when it is put to use.

Artificial intelligence only truly comes into its own when it is put to use.
This is exactly where the ⭕️KI Park Satellit Lingen by.
Initiated by the Economic Development - Stadt Lingen (Ems), the KRONE GROUP and the innovation network CORNEXION The KI Park Satellite has a clear goal: to translate artificial intelligence from theory into practice—and to create tangible value for businesses and organizations.

As a network, the AI Park brings together stakeholders from business, academia, and research.
The nationwide AI Park ecosystem includes leading companies and institutions such as Bosch, NVIDIA, and Google, as well as innovative startups—all united by a commitment to advancing AI in a practical, responsible, and effective manner.

A key component of our work is a series of regular events and workshops, including a monthly AI roundtable that provides a space for discussion of current issues and networking related to artificial intelligence.
The AI roundtable is held, whenever possible, on the last Thursday of every month at the IT Center (Kaiserstraße 10b) in Lingen. You can find the current schedule online at https://linvelo.com/de/service/ki-stammtisch-emsland/

Many of these formats will be used in the future within the context of the IT-Campus Lingen ICL — the physical hub of the AI Park Satellite, where collaboration, AI expertise, and practical applications come together.

For companies in the region, the AI Park Satellite Lingen provides access to cutting-edge technologies as well as leading experts in artificial intelligence.
